Default Cyclone-Conjour Flame-Mark Of Rodgort

I was just wondering if this would work to spread burning or not?

could also be used with whirlwind attack, triple chop 100 blades maybe?

GW not working atm so thats why im asking here and not testing it lol.

Thanks in advance

Hodgie

As long as you get mark of rodgort on everyone around you, it'll work.

well it says in the description of MoR that it hexes target for and all nearby foes. so you only have to cast it once at a time.

Conjure flame isn't necessary. A firey mod will work just as well for spreading burning, though the extra damage from conjure is nice.

15 Energy is a lot, a bit too much on a warrior for my tastes.

[conjure flame][mark of rodgort][cyclone axe][Warrior's Endurance][lion's comfort][no skill][no skill][resurrection signet]
Firey Axe with +5 energy and 20% enchant...
Flame Artifact offhand...
energy: 20 +5 +12 =37...
10+15+5+5=35...
warrior's endurance grants good e-management...
I dunno what to do with the other skill slots...
take that as you will.

Or just have an ele bring mark of rodgort while you take a decent tripple chop axe build that actually does damage ?(while wielding a fiery weapon...)

Sure, you can just use a fire axe and have a buddy carry MoR while you use a stereotypical W/Mo triple chop build, doffing conjure flame entirely, but where's the fun in that?

Maybe glympth of lesser energy (the skill; your next two spells cost -10 eng to cast)

It wouldn't be worth using a slot on a glyph you're not really going to get much out of. Better to leave it to the Ele who will probably be taking it anyway.

I dunno. What's the fun in being effective?

That's assuming you have one. Not all groups plan everything out and balance class, skill distribution and battle orders beyond basic target calling. As for not getting much out of the Glyph, well, that will depend on how well he's able to keep multiple enemies around, or at least right next to, him.

To the OP, definitely bring Glyph of Lesser Energy if you're going to use Conjure Flame and Mark of Rodgort.

[Cyclone Axe][Eviscerate][Conjure Flame][Mark of Rodgort][Glyph of Lesser Energy]["For Great Justice!"] ...and two other skills, preferably signets or very cheap adrenal skills (perhaps [[Keen Chop] - cheap, spammable and does adequate damage) 'cos you don't want to strain your Energy much.

Now, that said, it probably won't be all that effective, especially later in the game, and definitely not in Hard Mode - the burning will stop on most of the critters and they'll start healing quite quickly if you leave them alone for any length of time. And, since they'll scatter to chase after your squishies, that's virtually inevitable. Even worse is when they have a Monk type, as many mobs will. Make sure you go after those first, at all cost, along with any you suspect can resurrect.

Still, no real harm in trying, at least if the people you play with aren't the type to whine that you're using a (very) non-standard build and ragequit. Heck, maybe even have them try help to try and keep the mob in a bunch so that you can get at them easier.

Good luck with it.

This build looks good to go on paper. I reckon mobs will scatter though. I like the idea of your build nice work. I am so sick of cookie cutter build and URSANSAUCKWAY.

Well, yes, the scattering's the only reason the build will either fail or require effort (such as ignoring Eviscerate in favor of [["Save Yourselves!"], perhaps, to make yourself the more attractive target) to hold onto aggro. The build is firmly in the category of "nice in theory, but...", sadly.

An E/W might actually be able to pull it off as a novelty build, though. Just add, perhaps, [[Ward Against Foes] or [[Grasping Earth] so they don't get away particularly quickly. Of course, you'd then want [[Magnetic Aura] or something, and maybe [[Lava Font]. Conjure, lure 'em into the Ward, Mark 'em, Cyclone, (cast Grasping Earth if you prefer that instead of the Ward) and Lava Font for that extra touch of ouch.

I have used this combo to good effect when dealing with hard to kill bosses or monks.

[mark of rodgort][sever artery][gash][savage slash][final thrust]

Bleeding+Burning+Deep wound on fleshy targets = a very fast kill.

Then put Flail in, hes just listed the core of the build (ok, Flail is a core skill, but to fulfil the concept an IAS isn't needed (if you get what I mean anyway, I'm not saying you don't need an IAS, but meh. I can't word that any better.))

Flail, of course, would be the worst one to put in since you'd be even worse off than normal when they inevitably scatter.

^ ^ [skill]rush[/skill] says hi. Everyone with Flail brings a cancel stance to chase the kiters. With Rush you could bring [skill]frenzy[/skill] but that would be bad in HM, where they mob AND hit hard.
